1 · Who is responsible for your data

The controller of the personal data described here is North Spirit Vodka LTD — confirm exact registered name and legal form, registered at registered office address, company number company registration number, VAT VAT number.

For anything to do with your personal data, write to privacy@northspirit.vodka — confirm or create this address. If a Data Protection Officer has been appointed, name them and give their contact details here. A DPO is only mandatory in the cases in Article 37; if none is appointed, delete this sentence.

2 · What we collect, why, and on what legal basis

We only process what a given purpose actually needs. Each purpose below names its own legal basis under Article 6 of the GDPR.

Where the basis is a legitimate interest, we have weighed it against your rights and freedoms, and you can object at any time — see section 6.

3 · Who else sees it

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We do use service providers who process it on our instructions, under a written contract meeting Article 28:

• Our hosting and email provider — name the provider and the country the servers are in
• The payment processor — name the provider
• Delivery and logistics partners, so the bottle reaches you
• Any analytics or CDN provider actually in use — Cloudflare currently sits in front of this domain and must be named here

We also disclose data where the law requires it — tax authorities, or a lawful request from a public authority.

4 · Transfers outside the EEA

List any processor outside the EEA and the safeguard relied on — an adequacy decision, or Standard Contractual Clauses. If everything stays inside the EEA, say exactly that and delete the rest. Where we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses you can ask us for a copy.

5 · How long we keep it

The table in section 2 gives the period for each purpose. When it runs out we delete the data or anonymise it irreversibly. Where a statutory retention period applies — accounting records above all — we keep the data for that period and use it for nothing else.

6 · Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Access — a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — correction of anything inaccurate or incomplete
• Erasure — deletion, where no legal ground requires us to keep it
• Restriction — freezing the processing while a dispute is resolved
• Portability — the data you gave us, in a machine-readable file
• Objection — to any processing based on legitimate interest, and always to direct marketing
• Withdrawal of consent — at any time, without affecting what was lawful before

Write to privacy@northspirit.vodka and we answer within one month, as Article 12 requires. Exercising these rights is free. If you are not satisfied you can complain to your national data protection authority, or to ours — name the lead supervisory authority for the country of establishment: e.g. IMY in Sweden, AEPD in Spain, the Estonian AKI.

7 · Automated decisions

We do not make decisions about you by automated means alone, and we do not profile you.

8 · Children

This site is not directed at anyone below the legal drinking age in their country of residence, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a minor has given us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.

9 · Changes

If we change this notice we update the date at the top. Where the change is substantial we will say so plainly rather than quietly reissuing the page.

What a cookie is, and what we actually use

A cookie is a small file a site stores on your device. The same rules cover anything equivalent — local storage, session storage, pixels. Under the ePrivacy Directive, storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service you asked for needs no consent. Everything else does, and consent must be given before the storage happens.

Before you add analytics

The old site loaded Google Analytics. If it comes back, three things become obligatory:

• A consent banner that asks before the tag loads, not after
• Reject made exactly as easy as accept — same prominence, same number of clicks. A greyed-out "reject" beside a bright "accept" is the pattern regulators have been fining.
• A way to change your mind later, which is what the button below is for

Until that day, this page stays short and honest: there is nothing to consent to.

1 · Who you are contracting with

This site is operated by North Spirit Vodka LTD — confirm exact registered name and legal form, registered office, company number number, VAT number. Contact: hello@northspirit.vodka · +34 633 57 5187.

2 · Age

You may only use this site, and may only buy from us, if you are of legal drinking age in your country of residence. We reserve the right to ask for proof of age at delivery and to refuse delivery where it is not given. Reselling to anyone under age is prohibited.

3 · Where we sell

We ship duty paid to the markets listed on the site. In monopoly markets — Sweden, Finland, Norway — the state monopoly is the only lawful retail route, and we do not sell to consumers there. We link you to the monopoly instead.

4 · Prices, orders and the contract

• Prices include VAT and excise for the destination market unless stated otherwise. Shipping is shown before you confirm.
• Your order is an offer. The contract forms when we send the dispatch confirmation, not when you click pay.
• If a price is obviously wrong — a decimal in the wrong place — we may decline and refund in full.
• Stock is limited. Where we cannot fulfil, we refund in full without delay.

5 · Delivery

We deliver within stated delivery window. Risk passes to you on delivery. Someone of legal drinking age must be present to receive the parcel and may be asked for identification.

6 · Your right to change your mind

As a consumer in the EU you have 14 days from receipt to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason, under Directive 2011/83/EU. Tell us at returns@northspirit.vodka and return the goods unopened within 14 days of telling us. We refund within 14 days of receiving them back, by the same means you paid.

Two exceptions to confirm with counsel: sealed goods unsealed after delivery, and goods whose price depends on market fluctuations. Neither is automatic for spirits — do not claim an exemption you do not have.

7 · If something is wrong with it

Your statutory rights under Directive (EU) 2019/771 apply in full and nothing here limits them. If a bottle arrives damaged, or is not what was described, tell us and we replace it or refund it. Send a photograph if you can — it speeds things up and we do not ask you to return a broken bottle.

8 · The $NSV token

$NSV is a utility token. It is redeemable for product and experiences on the published menu. It carries no interest, no dividend, no profit share and no promise of price, and its value can fall. Nothing on this site is an offer of securities, a solicitation, or investment advice. Where the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation applies, the white paper governs and prevails over any summary here.

9 · Using the site

The text, photography, the wolf mark and the North Spirit name are ours or licensed to us. You may not reuse them commercially without written permission. Do not attempt to break, scrape or overload the site.

10 · Liability

We are liable for damage caused by our own intent or negligence as the law provides. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — and consumer rights are never excluded.

11 · Complaints and disputes

Write to hello@northspirit.vodka first — most things are settled in a day. These terms are governed by the law of country of establishment, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country of residence. Confirm the currently applicable EU online dispute resolution route and link it here; the Commission's ODR platform was wound down in 2025, so check what replaced it before publishing a link.

Since 8 December 2023, EU Regulation 2021/2117 requires every alcoholic drink sold in the Union to declare its ingredients and its energy value. Here is ours, for the whole range.

Ingredients

Nutrition, per 100 ml

40% ABV. A 700 ml bottle contains 0.28 litres of pure alcohol. A 40 ml serve is about 92 kcal. Confirm these figures against the producer's own lab analysis before publication — the energy value must be the measured one, and 231 kcal is the standard calculation for a 40% ABV spirit with no residual sugar.

Allergens

None. The base is grain, but distillation removes the gluten protein, so the finished spirit contains none. If you wish to state 'gluten-free' as a claim rather than an explanation, confirm the spirit is tested below 20 ppm, which is what Regulation 828/2014 requires for that wording.

We make a spirit meant for good company and slow evenings. That only works if it is drunk with some care, so here is the plain version.

What is in the glass

North Spirit is 40% ABV. A 40 ml measure contains about 16 ml of pure alcohol — roughly 1.3 UK units, or 12.6 grams. A 700 ml bottle holds 0.28 litres of pure alcohol. Being smooth and burn-free does not make a spirit weaker; it makes it easier to drink quickly, which is the opposite of what we intend.

When not to drink at all

• If you are under the legal drinking age where you live
• If you are pregnant, or trying to become pregnant — no amount is known to be safe
• Before driving, cycling, swimming, or operating anything with a motor
• With medication that interacts with alcohol — ask a pharmacist, it takes a minute
• If you have been advised against it, or if you are finding it hard to stop once you start

How we market it

We do not aim our marketing at anyone below legal drinking age, we do not suggest that alcohol brings social or sexual success, we do not present drinking as a way to cope, and we do not show drinking alongside driving or anything hazardous. Every channel we use is age-gated where the platform allows it.

If drinking has stopped being a pleasure

It happens, it is common, and asking about it early is the easy version. Your own doctor is the best first call. There are also national services in every market we sell in: List the services for each live market with their current URLs — for example Alkohollinjen in Sweden, and the national helplines in Spain, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Finland. Check each link before publishing; a dead helpline link is worse than none.

We want this site to work for everyone who wants a drink, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, or the text turned up.

What we aim for

WCAG 2.2 level AA. That is the standard the European Accessibility Act points at, and it is the one we build and test against.

What we have actually verified

Not asserted — measured, in a real browser, across every page of this site:

• Text contrast computed from the rendered pixels, including text sitting on photography, where the gradient behind it is composited before the ratio is worked out. The worst case on the site is a founder caption at 10.7:1, against the 4.5:1 the standard asks for.
• One h1 per page and no skipped heading levels
• Every form control has a label bound to it
• Every image either has alternative text or is marked decorative
• A visible focus ring on everything you can reach with a keyboard
• The 360° bottle viewer works with the arrow keys and with a slider, not only by dragging
• All motion respects prefers-reduced-motion
• No horizontal scrolling down to a 390 px viewport

Where we know we fall short

• The 360° viewer conveys shape through images; the alternative text describes the bottle but does not replace turning it
• Once real product video is added, captions and a described audio track will be needed
• No audit by an external accessibility specialist has been carried out yet — commission one before the EAA obligations bite
